Welcome to our world. Zoe (11 years old), Mia (8 years old), and I have many adventures and want to share some of them with you. I’m actively inventing my next career, focusing on educating others about movement and the nervous system. Previously, I was educated as a geophysicist, and worked in commercial software as an engineer and manager for 18.5 years. I came to parenting solo in my late thirties and somehow juggle more than I ever imagined possible. Mia had a stroke around when she was born so I have become her advocate, developmental coach, case manager, and fierce mama bear protector.
There are many moments when I am simply in awe as I observe and support my girls through their days and years. Those moments are pure joy. I strive to be present for them, and to use photos, video, and writing to capture the fleeting times. At other times, one or more of us struggles. While challenging, those moments also demand attention and ultimately have so much to teach. We have built a village of support to nurture these girls and myself and I think of this medium as a way to continue to foster that village spirit that has sustained us.
